Emperor Masonry Paint is now BBA Certified
Independent testing is at the heart of what we do
At Emperor Paint, we’ve always believed in delivering industry-leading performance and revolutionise exterior paints and what they can achieve. With our cutting-edge formulation, we believe we have done this and are so proud of the performance of our masonry paint.
However, us saying how good our paint is one thing – showing it is another.
That is why we took our Emperor Masonry Paint to a UKAS accredited laboratory to test the performance after 25 years of accelerated weathering, the thermal insulating properties, the breathability (water vapour diffusion) and the super hydrophobic properties (water vapour resistance).
The results found that Emperor Masonry Paint passed all four tests, demonstrating its industry leading performance.
There was more we could do
We didn’t want to stop there however. The British Board of Agrément (BBA), is the UK’s leading independent certification body that verifies the quality and performance of construction products.
The BBA Agrément Certificate, offered by the BBA, is a mark of excellence based on national and European standards given to products that pass the extensive certification process to provide homeowners, contractors, and architects confidence in the reliability and long-term performance of the product.
Their certification process is one of the most thorough in the industry, covering:
- Laboratory product tests
- On-site production evaluations
- Building regulation checks
- Product inspections
- Consideration of statutory or non-statutory requirements
- An audit of the quality management of the manufacturer
That’s why we’re proud to announce that following a 12 month process, Emperor Masonry Paint has officially been awarded BBA Agrément Certificate to further demonstrate not only that it performs as described, but also the quality control across our manufacturing process.
