What is the difference between Emperor Textured Basecoat and a render?

There are a number of differences between Emperor Textured Basecoat and traditional render. One of the main differences is that it can be applied via a brush or roller, whereas a render is generally applied using a trowel or hawk, making it a specialist project that is a difficult task to complete at home yourself. Emperor Textured Basecoat can be applied to repaired surfaces to hide them, allowing anyone to repair masonry or render easily and effectively.
